An exceptional, rare piece, with magnificent colours. Very beautiful alternating bands and black and green enamelled pattern on a hand-cut brown pottery body. The bands are distinguished by their very clean edges. The lip and the interior of the vase are glazed in light brown. Excellent vintage condition, very little used. Aldo londi [1911-2013] painter and sculptor, but above all he was a ceramist. In 1946 londi joined the cav. Usine g. Bitossi & figli, a happy association of over fifty years, first as artistic director. Londi merges tradition and modernity. His natural inclination towards research allows him to undertake courageous explorations and to define a new expressive language, stimulated by continuous technical experimentation. His expertise in ceramics and his artistic sensitivity have been extraordinary qualities for the collaborations he has undertaken over the years with designers and architects such as ettore sottsass, remo buti among others. • description: vintage vase • material: ceramic • manufacture: raymor bitossi • period: 1950-1960 • origin: italy • dimensions: h 18 cm - base ∅ 8 cm.
