The décor has a certain blur. Antique porcelain. Dimensions: 18x18cm. Description: excellent condition, close to new. First quality. I would like to present the meissen stamped porcelain plate. Wonderfully noble table culture of the last century. Designed by johann joachim kaendler in 1745, this pattern is called blue onion gold rims. It was produced in the 1890s. Blue onion (zwiebelmuster) is a fine porcelain tableware pattern originally made by meissen porcelain since the 18th century. Inspired by blue and white chinese porcelain under glaze, the meissen painters created new motifs that resembled flora more familiar to europeans. The so-called "onions" are not onions at all, but, according to historians, are most likely mutations of peaches and pomegranates. The entire design is an ingeniously crafted grouping of several floral motifs with stylized peonies and asters in the center of the pattern, whose stems wrap in flowing curves around a bamboo stem.
