Antique Meissen porcelain plate – blue and gold decoration

Superb antique plate in Meissen porcelain, one of the most prestigious European manufacturers. It features a cobalt blue floral decoration inspired by the so-called Zwiebelmuster patterns, finely enhanced with gold gilding on the rim. The scalloped and gilded edge adds refined elegance and an excellent balance between sobriety and decorative richness. On the reverse, there is a blue Meissen mark, as well as manufacturing marks (numbering and workshop signs), consistent with productions from the late 19th to early 20th century. Condition. – Very good overall condition. – Well-preserved gilding, with slight wear consistent with age. – No visible chips or cracks. – A few discreet signs of age on the reverse (see photos).
