Overview. Elegant South German Biedermeier console table dated around 1820; compact wall-style console with a refined, airy silhouette. Design. Concave lower stretcher that follows the front profile; supported by two black half-columns and two black full-columns with gold-painted capitals and bases. Materials & finish. Top plate and veneered base in cherry wood; solid cherry top with ebonized detailing and a mirrored glass panel on the back. All wood hand-polished with shellac (French polish). Details.
