Superb Restoration period console (circa 1820–1830) with an elegant and architectural design, perfect for dressing an entrance, living room, or hallway with authenticity and character. Light wood veneer with moiré and nuanced grain offering a warm and luminous patina. The straight belt is topped by two curved front legs in an "S" shape adorned with a molded/patinated ring at the base, resting on an arched cut-out stretcher. The veneer shows slight signs of age and wear that give it all its old-world charm. The marble top is in its original state and has visible cracks as well as a small chip on the left edge, witnesses to its history. It can be kept as is for authentic charm or subject to gluing/restoration. A charming and finely crafted piece of furniture, ideal for a decor that blends the old and the contemporary.
