Old wooden painted green cup-and-ball toy

A lovely lacquered wooden bilboquet in a rather uncommon shade of green. I don't know what type of wood it is, but it is quite dense; the ball is heavy for its size, a true bilboquet in short. It probably dates from the 1950s or 60s. In addition to being a beautiful decorative vintage object, it is functional: no chips, no cracks, the string is sturdy. However, it does show its age and the use it has undergone: small marks from knocks, scratches, and abrasions. It measures 12.5 cm in height, the ball is approximately 5.5 cm in diameter, and the string is 44 cm long.
