Old bilboquet stained wood plum purple

Pretty bilboquet in turned wood stained in a plum color revealing the grain of the wood and varnished. In the photos, it appears brown in color tending to red, but in reality it tends more towards plum purple than red. The ball is very heavy and dense. It probably dates from the 50s or 60s. In addition to being a beautiful decorative vintage object, it is functional: no chips, no cracks, the string is solid. But it does not hide its age and the use to which it was put: numerous marks of “hits”. It measures 18 cm in height, the ball measures approximately 9 cm in diameter, the string measures 43 cm long. It weighs 320 g, including approximately 260 g for the ball.
