Remarkable Norman dresser dating from around 1890, made of solid oak. Its balanced silhouette, beautiful warm patina, and understated lines give it an authentic presence, imbued with discreet elegance. The construction reflects traditional craftsmanship: the structure and doors are made of solid wood, assembled with wooden dowels. At the top, two glazed doors open onto display shelves. Their old panes, slightly irregular and wavy, diffuse light with a unique softness. The lower part offers three drawers and a storage space closed by two panelled doors. The oak reveals a pronounced grain, enriched by the nuances and marks of time. Both a storage piece and a decorative element, this dresser will accommodate crockery, glassware, books, or chosen objects. It will find its place in a characterful home as well as in a contemporary interior, to which it will bring warmth and authenticity. The furniture has been fully treated against wood-boring insects in the past and has been treated again recently. No active infestation is noted. A few old holes appear to have been filled with wax. Very stable, the dresser has its keys, and its doors and drawers function perfectly. It may have undergone previous restorations, the nature and date of which are not documented.
