A pair of birds in Mexican ceramic, from the artisanal tradition of Tonala, in the state of Jalisco. The large bird is a decorative piece, while the small one is a salt shaker recognizable by its three perforations on the head. Beautiful harmony of shades and decor: slightly bluish gray background, hand-painted floral and vegetal patterns in pink, blue, green, and brown tones, highlighted with fine black lines, large expressive eyes, all composing a particularly coherent ensemble. The large bird bears the inscription "Mexico" on its body. The small one is marked "Tonala Mexico" under its base, accompanied by painted motifs. Dimensions of the large bird: length 15 cm, height 11 cm. Small bird: length 7 cm, height 6 cm. Two artisanal pieces with careful decoration.
