Large French Art Nouveau Acanthus 6-Light Bronze & Crystal Cage Chandelier. The chandelier features a cage-style frame enriched with flowing acanthus leaf detailing, characteristic of the Art Nouveau movement’s celebration of natural forms. The six gracefully curving arms integrate seamlessly into the open cage structure, each terminating in leaf-shaped candle drip holders with their original card candle sleeves intact. Suspended from a short three-link chain and decorative ceiling fitter, the chandelier’s structure draws the eye toward its central glass prism and crystal ball, which mirrors the crystal ball finial at the base. The entire chandelier is lavishly adorned with high-quality crystals in an array of shapes and sizes. The chandelier has French twin core braided wiring and takes 6 bulbs of the small screw-in type E14. The chandelier's bronze framework is solid and sturdy, showcasing a rich, deep time-worn patina that beautifully reflects its age and history. The crystals are in good condition with no cracks, just some minor nibbles at the edges. The candle drips are the old card type in good condition with only light age-related wear. Please note: This is a very heavy chandelier and may need ceiling braces for hanging. We take great care in packing our crystal chandelier, but on occasion, some may work loose, and it is down to you to rehang them, which is usually a simple process.
