George Nelson sideboard for Herman Miller, circa 1960

Very beautiful and rare sideboard by George Nelson, published by Herman Miller in the early 60s, most certainly one of the first series produced. The veneer is in rosewood, the cylindrical base in unstitched chromed metal. As this is a piece of furniture over 60 years old, it has been cleaned by a cabinetmaker to restore its shine. There remains a slight lightening on 10cm of the veneer on the upper shelf (see photos). Dimensions: H.66cm W.203cm D.47cm
