Marble sculpture of a reclining lion

Cast marble sculpture of a reclining lion. Executed in a classic-realistic style. The lion lies on its stomach with its head turned to the left, mouth slightly open and mane detailed, giving the animal a lively, alert appearance despite the resting pose. The body is smoothly polished, with a muscular, streamlined shape and a long tail gracefully curling around the hind legs. The sculpture rests on an oval, lightly profiled base.
