I am selling this old African stool dating from the mid-20th century, entirely handcrafted. The shape, particularly the very low and elongated seat with side handles, evokes certain Lobi stools from Burkina Faso. A beautiful decorative piece with an ethnic character, featuring a slightly curved low seat, four legs, and two side elements serving as handles. The wood has a lovely natural patina and signs of use that testify to its history and enhance its charm. Ideal as an extra seat, small bench, footrest, or decorative object in a contemporary, bohemian, ethnic, or vintage interior. Dimensions: • Width: 60 cm. • Height: 15 cm. • Depth: 16.5 cm. Product type: Antique stool, a very simple sculpture, without geometric decoration or figurative representation. Origin: Lobi tribe, Burkina Faso (West Africa) Era: Mid-20th century. Material: Carved wood, constructed from a solid piece of wood. Colour: Natural wood, a surface that is heavily patinated and worked with tools. Wood type: Not definitively identified. Style: Ethnic. Condition: Very good condition, patina and irregularities related to its use and handcrafted production. See photos. Please feel free to contact me for more information or photos.
