The Altorfer lounge chair, also commonly known as the "spaghetti chair," is one of the most famous Swiss design classics in the field of garden furniture. It was designed in 1948 by Huldreich Altorfer, the son of the then director of the Embru company. It owes its success to the pleasant feeling when lying on it, its timeless shape, and its extremely robust construction. It rests on a hot-dip galvanized steel tube frame. The backrest, topped with a headrest, and the seat extended by the legrest are covered in tightly woven PVC rope. The armrests are wrapped in a rope of the same color. The Altorfer lounge chair measures 133 cm long, 61 cm wide, and 111 cm high. It can be reclined in two positions and folds easily.
