1950s diptych in the post-nabis style

A large diptych from a villa in the South of France, partially signed (the letters are effaced, B.CLAV... is visible) and dated 1959. On one side, leisure activities related to water; on the other, an evocation of the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve embracing: the vibrant composition explores themes of the joy of living. An idyllic and colorful composition, this large vintage canvas was painted in oil and is mounted on a wooden frame. The style is reminiscent of the Post-Nabi or even Cubist movement. Each panel measures 185 x 140 cm.
