An invitation to travel and retro refinement. I am selling this splendid and large vintage coffee pot (or tall teapot) made of earthenware, from the iconic Orientalist collection "Sens", stamped with the famous French brand Digoin (Groupe Sarreguemines). This piece of table art stands out with its superb Japonese decor in vibrant colours, very fashionable in the mid-20th century. The front features a geisha in a yellow kimono by the water, a red pagoda, and a mountainous landscape. The back offers a delicate scene of a fisherman in a traditional boat. The elegance of its shape is enhanced by a sculpted relief frieze at the top of the neck and stunning golden finishes (gold leaf trim) on the handle, spout, and lid knob, as well as the model name "Sens". The official crowned stamp "Digoin & Sarreguemines France" is clearly visible under the base. In excellent condition. The earthenware is very sound and shiny. The colours of the decor are beautifully preserved, and the gilding remains brilliant. No cracks, no chips, or flakes. The interior is clean. Hand delivery possible within 20 km around Amiens.
