This large floor lamp from the 1970s evokes a domestic totem that plays on the radical confrontation of textures. At the base, there is volcanic ceramic with an incandescent orange-red core set against a textured 'Fat Lava' brown background that devours perforated biomorphic shapes, imposing a raw physical presence. In total contrast, a dizzying cylinder made of almost white hessian gives it a graphic verticality. Everything hinges on this tension: the vibrant glaze captures external light while the natural weave of the textile filters a muted illumination. With such a visual signature, this lamp can become the centrepiece of a demanding decor. The lamp is in very good condition. Note the presence of a slight crack that does not affect the base (see photo), which is invisible without zooming in. The switch allows the shade and the base to be turned on separately or together. Height: 1.47 m. Shade height: 95 cm. Shade diameter: 30 cm. Base height: 55 cm. Base diameter: 32 cm. Screw bulb not included.
