Alvar Aalto model 45 chair for Artek 1970s

Beautiful iconic armchair designed by the Finnish architect and designer Alvar Aalto for Artek. This model is one of Aalto's most recognisable designs and is a wonderful example of his innovative vision of modern design and bent wood techniques. The chair is made of bent birch wood and features black woven straps, creating a beautiful contrast between the warm appearance of the wood and the graphic lines of the seat and backrest.
