Modernist sideboard db02 designed by cees braakman for ums pastoe, netherlands, 1954. The name db02 refers to sideboard oak number 02 and is made of oak wood and birch plywood. This stylish piece of furniture has great early modernist features that refer to earlier plywood designs by edward wormley and alvar aalto, among others. The sideboard with 2 folding doors has plenty of storage space, it misses original drawers inside but instead has two shelves. The curved wooden legs are characteristic of the birch series. One folding door as well as the opposite side has been painted white. The rest has been refinished with a high quality uv and water protective lacquer with preservation of authenticity. Also completely structural checked and ready for use.
