Pastoe KU14 wardrobe by Cees Braakman

With its sober lines and floating elegance, this vintage KU14 wardrobe is a prime example of Japanese-inspired Dutch design. Designed by Cees Braakman for Pastoe in 1958 and part of the sought-after Japanese series, this cabinet effortlessly combines simplicity and functionality. Behind the four panelled doors is a clever layout: ten open compartments offer plenty of space for folded clothes, accessories or even a carefully stacked sweater collection. There is no standard hanging section, but on request a clothes rail can be added for a small additional charge. The cabinet stands on slender black metal legs, giving it a light, almost floating appearance. The cabinet has been expertly restored and is in very good condition – ready for a second life in an interior where design and tranquillity come together.
