Elegant pair of antique sterling silver candlesticks, hallmarked M & J for Mappin & Webb, one of the most famous British silversmiths. These candlesticks date from 1934, as indicated by the Birmingham Assay Office date letter K, accompanied by the lion passant (.925 sterling silver) and the profile of King George V. Their understated and refined design perfectly reflects the Art Deco style of the period.
