Cote d'Or crocodile skin effect metal advertising box

This charming box surprised me twice! At first from a distance, I was intrigued by its snakeskin appearance which ultimately turned out to be screen-printed metal! And when I inspected it even more closely, I noticed that it was a box marked “côte d’or” underneath. So I imagine that it was a box containing chocolates, perhaps a chic Christmas box or an advertising item that you could order by collecting points. It is very original with its clasp which perfectly imitates a bag clasp, making the illusion of a small piece of luggage perfect! It is rather rare, I had never seen one before this one, it must date from the 60s or 70s. It is in good general condition, still solid, the clasp is functional, no corrosion, but does not hide its age: small scratches and marks on the “crocodile skin” part, lack of paint on the golden parts (feet and borders), and slight deformations on the lid. It measures 18 cm in length, 15 cm in width, 7.5 cm in height and weighs approximately 230 g.
