'utrecht' lounge chair, model 637, designed by gerrit rietveld in 1935. Originally designed for the metz & co department store and in 1988 reissued by cassina italy. This particular chair is from the 1990s and is recently reupholstered by an official cassina reupholsterer in the original kvadrat divina light grey wool fabric (kind of felt), with the iconic stitching. Fantastic chair! It was the first upholstered chair rietveld designed. It has a steel supporting frame, polyurethane foam and polyester padding. Classic design by the master. The chair is in excellent condition, as new.
