Here is a pretty schnapps carafe, it is engraved on it, but it will also make a pretty vase or simply a Puisaye stoneware ceramic to add a natural vintage touch to your interior or complete a collection. It has a pretty rounded shape, simple and elegant and a very beautiful slightly pyrite glaze, mixing soft and comforting tones: beige, caramel and chocolate, material and colors typical of the 70s. It is not signed, but we recognize at first glance the very particular work on the glaze of Jean-Pierre Prud'homme who did not sign all his pieces, especially when they were part of a larger service. This ceramist founded with his wife an artisanal pottery workshop in 1971 in Monnaie, working with clay from Nièvre (Puisaye stoneware). This workshop still exists today (Au grès du vent workshop), it is run by his son Benoît who took over in the 1990s-2000s and also creates very beautiful ceramics. This carafe dates from the 70s and is in perfect condition, no cracks, no chips, not even a chip. It measures 23 cm in height, approximately 14 cm in largest diameter. I offer several other ceramics by Jean-Pierre Prud'homme, do not hesitate to take a look at my shop here and contact me if you wish to order several so that I can adjust, if possible, the shipping costs for a grouped shipment. I also have the same carafe with the inscription "Calvados", but it was refused by Selency, let me know if you are interested.
