COD 11554. French painting dated 1954. Oil on canvas artwork depicting a copy of the famous painting by Auguste Mayer (1805-1890), The Battle of Trafalgar, of good pictorial quality. A large and impactful painting, ideal for decorating a living room or hall, for antique dealers and interior decorators. The artwork unfolds horizontally, adorned with a beautifully decorated carved and gilded wooden frame (bronze finish). The painting is signed and dated lower right (see photo), signature under study.
