Sculpture ROOTS

Roots rises like a black, dense, and vibrant column, its surface appearing both ancestral and contemporary. On one side, lines are carved with a wood chisel, clear and organic grooves that snake along the totem. These lines are not merely decorative: they symbolise the roots, those of the tree that gave birth to this totem, whose trunk has been reduced to the essential and then transfigured by fire. The roots here become a language: an anchoring in the earth, a memory of the living, a vertical circulation of energy, a metaphor for what connects us to the invisible. On the other side, the wood is raw, expressing the experience of the beam transformed into a piece of art... Base dimensions: 30x30cm.
