Antique Chinese apothecary cabinet - 36 drawers

Chinese apothecary cabinet made of solid wood, featuring 36 small drawers at the front, a central cupboard, and three drawers at the bottom. It was purchased in Bangkok in the early 1980s and has remained in the family since. The drawers are engraved with Chinese characters and have circular brass handles. The fittings (hinges and decorative central lock) are also made of solid brass. The interior and back of the cabinet are lined with traditional printed paper in perfect condition, and the whole piece exhibits a beautiful natural patina with some signs of wear consistent with its age.
