19th Century Domed Travel Trunk – Wood, Brass, Leather – Restored

Travel trunk with a domed lid, from the second half of the 19th century, made of light wood reinforced with dark wood strips nailed horizontally. Brass corner fittings, thick black leather borders riveted, protective feet at the lower corners. Front equipped with two brass key locks with a folding bolt mechanism — keys and locks functional. Side transport handles in black wrought iron, original key suspended by string kept in place. Restored interior, fully lined with floral paper in pastel tones (pink, orange, blue, green on a white background). Exterior showing a patina of use with marks and scratches inherent to the age of the piece. Overall condition very good after restoration. Dimensions: L. 100 cm × D. 55 cm × H. 65 cm. Weight: 15 kg.
