A stunning and very well-executed mid century figurative composition, painted in oil onto canvas. The painting portrays a fisherman in front of a house in a landscape setting, as he hangs nets out to dry. Painted in an expressionist style, textured brushstrokes have been applied in a dynamic manner, and the use of a light colour palette consisting muted shades of grey, green and blue imbue the painting with a gentle and uplifting feel.
