Guido Guidi (1901-1998) He began his career in 1924 with "The Illusory Supper, " and exhibited solo in 1927, 1938, 1941, and 1957 in various Italian cities, while also participating in group exhibitions abroad. He also exhibited at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome and in various exhibitions organized by the Gruppo Labronico. A singular artist with a distinctive artistic language, he explored a variety of themes, primarily centered on the poor: acrobats, the homeless, guests, and beggars. He also painted military scenes, Madonnas, children playing, flowers, landscapes, and more. Several monographs have been dedicated to him. He was presented several times by Giovanni March. One of his most ardent supporters was the collector Ugo Ughi. His paintings are found in numerous collections throughout Italy. The Cassa di Risparmi in Livorno has dedicated a comprehensive monograph to him.
