Antique hot plate consisting of a painted ceramic plate and a silver-plated base Rare collector's item made by Pinder Bourne and Co between 1868 and 1882 (reference to other pieces of this model for which the markings can be accessed. Here the plate is set and therefore the back is not accessible) Thomas Shadford Pinder and Joseph Harvey Bourne earthenware manufacturers in Burslem Stoke-on-Trent The ceramic is in good condition both in terms of shine and colors Great finesse of the Apollo model patterns representing colorful butterflies and dragonflies accompanied by wildflowers and a festoon in a shade of blue gray some rust stains on the white part, very discreet marks of use The metal part with its two handles has a patinated appearance.
