Do you like objects that tell a story. This unique earthenware plate should pique your curiosity. On a delicately patinated ivory background, eight lobsters (or are they crayfish?) dance in graphic black around the rim. A surprising motif, bordering on abstraction, which evokes both Japanese art and the free-form lines of the 1970s. The wavy border, the gray-blue wash, and the black lines add an elegant and offbeat touch. Signed on the back A. Faure, this piece comes from the JGP workshop, probably a small collective of French ceramic artisans, active in the second half of the 20th century. To place, hang, or divert... This plate is a tabletop work in itself. Diameter 24.5 cm Very good vintage condition, no chips, intact enamel, very shiny Ideal for interiors with a strong personality, lovers of stylized lines, arty tables, or collectors of graphic and bold objects.
