Scandinavian pendant lampshade, Hans-Agne Jakobsson

Pendant light shade in Scandinavian style from the 1960s-1970s by Swedish designer Hans-Agne Jakobsson. It is entirely made of pine wood (thin slats) providing a warm light through semi-transparency. In very good condition, it does have a small piece of pine missing from the upper part of the shade. Hans-Agne Jakobsson, not fond of glaring lights, decided to found his own company in 1951 to design fixtures that are both beautiful and provide soft light. He also designed lamps for his other company, AB Ellysett in Markaryd. His pine wood lamps are his greatest success.
