Pine commode with a stripped finish, originating from Central Europe and dated to the first third of the 20th century. A piece of stylistic transition, halfway between traditional rustic furniture and contemporary stripped aesthetics, representative of the trend of rejuvenating antique furniture popular in the first half of the 20th century in Europe. It is constructed from solid pine with a frame structure and panel on the sides and fronts, organised into several levels of drawers. The assembly details — visible dovetails, traditional joints — ensure structural solidity. The contained height (106 cm) provides an elegant silhouette. The handles, made of wood or ceramic, integrate discreetly into the composition. The patina shows the characteristic stripped finish: the wood surface presents light areas where sanding has revealed the natural wood, combined with patinated tones that preserve remnants of old colour. This effect — readable, non-invasive — maintains the authenticity of aging without saturation. The shine is matte and soft, and the structure is completely solid. Details.
