We are delighted to offer for sale this beautiful pair of large open freestanding bookshelves with drawers at the base and a crocodile/alligator leather finish. A very aesthetic, well-made, and decorative pair of open bookshelves, they are open on both sides, allowing them to be used as room dividers, similar to a traditional open bookshelf. The upper shelves feature compartments for files, ideal for discs or magazines. The bases include large drawers, and both pieces are covered in a crocodile leather finish with a patina. They have been cleaned, waxed, and polished from top to bottom. There will be normal patina marks related to age and use here and there. Please note that vintage and original period items like this leather will always have a natural patina in the form of creases and wear. We recommend annual waxing to prevent moisture loss. Hand-dyed leather is not recommended for prolonged exposure to direct sunlight as it may dry out and discolour.
