Vintage wooden bookshelf – 1950s/60s

Superb high bookshelf made of solid wood and veneer, with an elegant and timeless design typical of French productions from the mid-20th century. It consists of 5 levels of open shelves supported by fine turned columns, and a low cabinet closed by two sliding doors with discreet round knobs. Its airy appearance and balanced lines make it a piece of furniture that is both decorative and functional, ideal for a living room, office, or bedroom. Very good overall vintage condition. There are slight signs of wear consistent with the age of the furniture (superficial micro marks), without affecting its aesthetics or sturdiness. The piece comes from a French interior, kept within the same family for several decades. Production can be attributed to a French workshop specialising in modernist storage furniture from the 50s/60s, in the spirit of Guillerme and Chambron or regional publishers of the time (unsigned).
