Polywood Group DCM Vitra

The DCM chair by Vitra is the result of the early research of Charles and Ray Eames. DCM stands for "Dining Chair Metal" and refers to its metal base. After years of experimentation, the designer duo Charles and Ray Eames developed a method to best adapt plywood to the contours of the human body. The chairs of the Plywood Group are the result of this research and remain timelessly modern, thus establishing themselves as true classics. The seat and backrest are made of moulded plywood veneered with ash or walnut. The base is made of chrome-plated or powder-coated tubular steel. It measures 51.5 cm wide, 56.5 cm deep, and 73.5 cm high. The seat height is 40 cm.
