August Hermann Knoop "The prenuptial agreement"

An unusal scene developes here in front of our eyes. A woman from a long ago past visits her attorney for a matrimonial prenup. Seems they are discussing the terms. She is not convinced, but has clearly an own opinion and saying in the contract. The attorney is listing to her concerns and seems both are planning something. August hermann knoop was born 1856 in düsseldorf. He studied art in munich and paris. He worked and lived then till his death 1919 in munich. In his ouevre he specialized on scenes from the aristrocratic past, mainly rococo and renaissance sujets. He had only a few exhibitions in munich and berlin, cos most of his works he sold directly to collectors.
