Oil on mounted paper - Portrait of a peasant woman signed, 18th century

Oil on mounted paper depicting a peasant woman in traditional dress. Part of the Flemish primitive movement (17th/18th century) but its author remains unknown and its dating imprecise. The frame has an ornamental rocaille style that appeared later and was therefore added. The inscription on the back of the frame is probably the work of former owners to specify the date of the work presented (this one or another). A more in-depth appraisal should be carried out to determine whether it dates from 1648. In case of doubt, the first estimate (auction no. acf372119) is based on an 18th century work.
