Art Deco dining table

Elegant rectangular dining table from the 1940s-1950s, characterised by a superb Macassar veneer top, featuring a rich and warm dark grain. The centre of the top is adorned with a decorative marquetry pattern, shaped in a scalloped form, highlighted by a light inlaid line that showcases the finesse of the cabinetmaking. The edge of the top adopts an oblique chevron marquetry, offering a refined visual contrast while enhancing the high-end character of the piece. The structure rests on four tapered legs in blackened wood, typical of 1940s modernist design. The legs are finished with brass tips, adding a touch of sophistication while ensuring both stability and elegance. This model subtly combines modernist style with traditional decorative craftsmanship, making it both a functional and decorative piece. Ideal as a dining table, desk, or large accent table in a vintage, mid-century, or contemporary interior. Condition: good overall condition with some micro signs of use consistent with its age.
