Elegant modernist dining table from the 1940s-50s, made of dark precious wood veneer, specifically Macassar ebony, offering a refined line and a very architectural presence. The subtly curved top features a graphic marquetry composed of light inlays creating a geometric pattern with softened angles, typical of post-war modernist decor. The table is equipped with two retractable side extensions, allowing for easy transformation of the surface area (up to 239 cm in length) while preserving the aesthetic of the piece when folded. It rests on four tapered legs in black lacquered wood, finished with golden metal caps, adding an extra touch of sophistication and a very '40s identity. A golden metal ring also highlights the top of each leg, reinforcing the verticality and elegance of the design. In perfect balance between sobriety and decorative details, this table is an ideal centrepiece for an interior combining vintage, modernism, and contemporary design. French or Italian work, circa 1940-50. Overall good condition. Dimensions: H76 L160 LR239 P95 Delivery possible throughout France.
