Simple wall sconce in classic Empire style made of vintage French cast brass 4316.

The central feature of this wall light is its rose-shaped backplate, which serves as a stunning backdrop for the rest of the fixture. From the backplate extends a rope-effect arm, adding a distinctive touch of visual interest to the design. The rope texture mimics the elegance of a twisted cord, adding a sense of movement and depth to the piece. At the back of the arm is an eagle's head; this finely crafted eagle's head is a nod to the Empire style's penchant for incorporating imperial motifs into their creations. The raised candle holder is round with a beaded edge, and the candle drip is cream-coloured. The light is functional and wired with French double-core wiring, taking one small E14 screw bulb. The brass has a beautiful aged patina and marks associated with age. It has been cleaned but not polished, allowing you to decide on the finish. The candle drip is in good vintage condition.
