The focal point of this wall light is its rose shaped backplate, which acts as a stunning backdrop for the rest of the fixture. From the backplate comes a rope effect arm, adding a distinctive touch of visual interest to the design. The rope like texture mimics the elegance of a twisted cord, adding a sense of movement and depth to the piece. On the back of the arm is an eagle's head, this finely crafted eagle's head is a nod to the empire style's penchant for incorporating imperial motifs into their designs. The raised candle holder is round with a beaded effect edge and the candle drip is cream in colour. The light works and is wired with double core french wiring and takes 1 x e14 small screw type bulb. The brass has a lovely aged patina and marks associated with age. It has been cleaned but not polished so you can decide on the finish. The candle drip is in good vintage condition.
