Important sculptural glass vase from Bohemia, created by Jan Beránek for the Škrdlovice glassworks (Czechoslovakia) during the modernist period (circa 1959-1965). This piece, weighing nearly 5 kg, illustrates the mastery of hot-formed solid glass (hutní sklo). The trilobate, organic, and asymmetrical silhouette is made using the sommerso technique. An intense cobalt blue core is encapsulated in a thick mass of clear glass tinted champagne yellow. This outer layer contains manganese, reacting with a spectacular green-yellow fluorescence under UV exposure, typical of the experiments of that era. The elongated neck and the base (softened and polished) testify to careful finishing. Excellent condition: the glass retains all its brilliance, with no cracks or chips.
