Scultpural Brass Hand Mid-Century Wall Mirror, Italy, 1950s

A truly special Mid-Century vintage brass wall mirror from the 1950s, joyfully discovered by us at an antiques market in Italy. Beyond its beautifully curved organic shape, this mirror especially impresses with its brass mountings — most notably the decorative brass hand at the lower center, which appears to support and hold the mirror. The mirror glass is mounted on a wooden board tapering to pointed sides. Since the original mirror glass was unfortunately damaged and far too cloudy and stained to preserve, we decided to replace the glass, precisely made according to the original template. Therefore, the mirror is overall in very, very good condition; the brass shows a slight patina. Width 28", height 24“.
