This stool, with its strongly and elegantly curved legs, is easily recognisable by the way its legs are assembled. No label or stamp. Made between 1880 and 1905 in the chair factory "Veuve Lebrun" in Saint Loup sur Semouse (Haute-Saône), which was one of the most important French chair factories after Baumann. Its location near the Saône, a navigable waterway, allowed it to supply Lower Burgundy and Lyonnais. Seat height: 46.5 cm, Seat diameter: 37 cm. Colour: Slightly patinated Empire black.
