Heloise flat trunk

Here is an old flat wooden trunk with beautiful brass fittings that have retained their shine. It may even have been, based on its balanced dimensions, a true luxury canteen in the sense of chests inspired by military luggage. But, here, whatever the name, this trunk offers remarkable elegance, with the scent of luxury without excess. It is therefore a trunk of already substantial dimensions. The closing equipment, on the front with three points, is in itself the sign of a piece of quality and robustness, which is confirmed by the state of preservation of this superb piece. Here, it is the robustness that is emphasized. The beautifully gilded protective bars are of a certain aesthetic and the brass angles stand out harmoniously in this black decor with brown borders. Inside, this trunk also presents a sort of period tapestry in perfect condition. This is rare. How rare are beautiful traces of the voyages made, embodied under the trunk by pretty period labels. This trunk is a plus in a vintage decor and also in a storage perspective that its volume makes precious. This trunk is old, probably from the first half of the 20th century.
