Very beautiful flamed stoneware vase signed Rambervillers, from the Vosges, a factory renowned for the richness and quality of its glazes. This piece features an elegant ovoid silhouette, with generously rounded shoulders that gradually narrow towards the base and is topped with a small cylindrical neck. Its remarkable blood-red glazing offers deep shades of ruby red, purple, and wine red, with subtle drip effects and shiny reflections. The variations in tones, particularly visible on the lower part, give this piece a beautiful depth. The flamed stoneware of Rambervillers owes its fame to Alphonse Cytère (1861-1941), engineer and director of the Société Anonyme des Produits Céramiques de Rambervillers. In the early 20th century, he developed a production of artistic stoneware with particularly sought-after glazes. Close to the artists of the École de Nancy, he collaborated notably with Louis Majorelle, Jacques Gruber, and Eugène Vallin, contributing to the prominence of French Art Nouveau. The stoneware from Rambervillers is distinguished by its flamed glazes, metallic reflections, and richness of colors, which are now particularly appreciated by collectors. A beautiful collectible piece, representative of the craftsmanship of this historic factory. Dimensions: Height: 16 cm. Diameter: 8.5 cm. Condition: perfect condition. Signature: Rambervillers.
