Louis XV library in rosewood veneer and light wood marquetry, adorned with gilded bronze fittings. This two-part piece features an upper section with two glazed doors dressed with gilded bronze strips on the inside. The joint cover and entries are also in chiselled bronze. The lock is in perfect working order and comes with its key. The rosewood is arranged diagonally. This piece has a pediment in the shape of a gendarme's hat. A floral marquetry in two parts depicts foliage, scrolls, and flowers. On the uprights, large bronze fittings represent a smiling face with a shell and scrolls. A large bronze fitting depicting a shell surrounded by scrolls is positioned in relief on the moulded cornice. At the bottom, this piece has two panel doors with a central composition featuring musical instruments, a musical score, and flowers. This marquetry is surrounded by bronze strips. There are drops on the uprights, and the small curved feet are protected by gilded bronze shoes. The interior of this piece is equipped with adjustable shelves on rack rails. The sides are richly ornamented with light and tinted wood marquetry, bronze strips, and diagonal rosewood veneer. ******** Period: Late 19th century. Excellent condition.
