This superb pair of armchairs embodies the nobility of the Restoration style, combining architectural rigor with decorative refinement. Carved from deep-hued mahogany, they rest on powerful and dynamic front legs known as 'jarret', while the sabre-shaped back legs ensure discreet and elegant stability. The finely sculpted armrests, adorned with scrolls, are supported by curved consoles, which themselves are placed on bases decorated with lateral palmettes, an emblematic decorative signature of the period. The curved backs, generously upholstered, offer enveloping comfort, enhanced by entirely refurbished seats using traditional techniques: horsehair and springs, for perfect and durable support. The new and bright blue Casal fabric adds a contemporary touch to the whole, subtly highlighting the warmth of the wood and the purity of the lines. An ideal set for lovers of historical furniture, keen to combine authenticity, comfort, and distinction. Period: Early 19th century. Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop. Seats and upholstery completely redone. Waxed finish.
